Richard Julian: Sunday Morning In Saturday’s Shoes
I’ve recently been listening to the new (and fifth) album from Richard Julian called “Sunday Morning in Saturday’s Shoes”.It’s a lovely mix of sounds with a distinctly Jazz/Blues/Folk undertone, although don’t let that put you off if those aren’t your thing.
This album is full of lovely melodies somewhat like a Nora Jonesalbum. Not surprising then that in the past few years he has been part of Little Willies, a low-key country collaboration with pals Norah Jones, guitarist Jim Campilongo, bassist Lee Alexander and drummer Dan Reiser.
I’d thoroughly recommend the album, but to get you started, here’s a track to sample:
