TRIGGER: Storm

It’s been hot and humid here for a few days now.

Cloying….that best describes it.

But I can feel a storm in the air and that should ease things down a little and make it slightly more comfortable.

My dog won’t be pleased though. She hates storms and is guaranteed to be found constantly within 2 inches of me while it lasts. Like wearing a second shadow.  Like me she’s getting old and as she does she’s more prone to being scared by storms, loud bangs, etc. Me? I just get grumpier as I get older. ;)

Personally, I don’t mind storms. I love the feeling of being safe inside whilst I watch the world outside go berserk.

That said, my wife and I experienced one storm we didn’t enjoy and we’ll never forget. We were in the The Netherlands and the biggest storm I’ve ever seen hit and we spent a very uncomfortable time holding onto the metal poles of an awning (trying to stop it blowing away) whilst the Mother of a lightning storm went on around us.

In hindsight we realised how stupid that was…metal poles/lightning + torrential rain and gale force winds = awful risk. Hmmmm….maybe that was the start of the hair loss?????

 Anyway….the trigger is…
