TRIGGER: Child

Where did the last 17 (or so) years go?

I’ve been sorting out the photo’s I took on my recent holiday…adding descriptions, cropping here and there and the odd spot of light enhancement….

And as always I got sidetracked and found myself looking back on some old shots of the kids at various stages through their lives so far.

I suddenly realised that the ‘kids’ are not the little dependant beings they were…they’re young adults with strong views and opinions of their own. Able to do pretty much anything an adult can (and probably a lot better than I can).

But to me they will always be the little girl and boy who came into my life and brought a whole new meaning to it….and emptied my bank account (repeatedly) - but that’s another story.

So the trigger is….
Child    [chahyld]
-noun
1. a person between birth and full growth; a boy or girl
2. a son or daughter
3. a baby or infant.
4. a human fetus.
5. a childish person

TRIGGER: Weekend

AT LAST!!!

The end of a hot, sunny and sticky week.

I’ve been looking forward to the weekend for days now. Don’t you just hate it when you can’t wait for the weekend to arrive?….it just seems to make the week drag even more slowly!!

Still, 2 days off now to sit and relax and do nothing……I WISH!!!

I have a list of jobs as long as my arm to do around the house and garden. Then there’s my Wife’s Father’s garden to sort out tomorrow morning.

Oh yeah…and a few errands to run to get things ready for our vacation. We’re off next Saturday…..that’s another weekend I can’t wait to get here.

Obviously, the trigger is…

So just stop!

Stop focusing on those bad things.
Take a good, long, hard look around and see what a beautiful, beautiful world we live in.
What a beautiful life this is.
What beautiful people we love.

TRIGGER: Tired

I’m used to working flat-out all day and my body has become accustomed to this. But over the last two weeks business has been a little erratic – slow days followed by manic days – and I don’t seem to be able to adjust to the changing pace. The result is that I am sooooooo tired I could fall asleep on the edge of a knife blade. Still, the weekend’s here and I can relax. (Looks at list of DIY jobs, looks at the state of the gardens). Hmmm…maybe not.
So the trigger is…

tired    [tahy.uh.rd]
–adjective
1. exhausted, as by exertion
2. fatigued or sleepy
3. depleted of strength or energy
4. weary or bored
5. hackneyed, stale
6. (informal) impatient or disgusted
-verb
7. cause to be bored
8. get tired of something or somebody
—Synonyms
